Is 14 million not enough for you??? Homie thinks that we're living in Silicon Valley 🤣🤣🤣. 14 million for a junior level is actually pretty high in Indonesia. If you compare it with the average salary in other countries like the US or Singapore, then you're a dumbass, lol. The cost of living there is very high compared to here, so at the end of the day, it's all the same. Also, you're just an entry-level developer, so you're probably just implementing stuff without even putting any thought into the whole system itself. Am I correct? Well, you're the one who can answer that. Lemme tell you something: implementing is easy. The hardest part of this field is coming up with the battle plan on how to develop the system/solution. I don't mean to be elitist, but I am confident I can do the technical stuff that seniors can do. But what I CAN'T do is account for potential issues that might come up, account for scaling, handle various issues that may arise, etc. Also, laying out a solid architecture for a project is something I'm not confident about yet. These are all things that just come with time. That's the difference between senior and junior developers. It's not about how much you're implementing stuff. Last words, before asking for a raise, you should know your value. You should also keep in mind that attitude is important, because nobody will remember how good you are at programming. What they will remember is how you treat them and your attitude towards them. You need to be someone that people love working with. The more other people want to work with you, the more successful you will be in your career as a programmer.
