Perfection is the root of all evil. I mean, there's a difference between perfection and progression. I've been striving for perfection in everything I do, and trust me, it's not what you want. In fact, striving for perfection is counterproductive. Just accept being decent enough. Being decent isn't actually that hard. On the other hand, striving for perfection has its diminishing returns. Diminishing returns basically means that the output decreases the more you pursue perfection. This applies to everything in life. Lemme give you an example: Imagine you have a really messy room. In just 10 minutes, you could probably clean your room, put all your books on the shelf, tidy up your bed, and so on. But when you strive for perfection, trying to arrange your books in alphabetical order, organizing your desk symmetrically, and so forth, it will take more and more time. And in the next 10 minutes, you'll get less value than what you achieved in the first 10 minutes. This is the concept of diminishing returns. In conclusion, perfection doesn't always mean it's worth it, and it's important to remember that life is not always perfect. Sometimes we just needa admit that fact and move on.
